FUS has been available in Switzerland for some years. The doctor who has performed many FUS PTT treatments on PD sufferers, Dr Jeanmonod, has recently retired, so his partner Dr Marc Gallay is setting up a new clinic in Berne. The previous one was in Sonimodul . It is also available in Spain.
There is a FB group where quite a few people have had the treatment, and mostly positive results. The USA has ran a project in many states within the last 2 years giving this treatment under research conditions. It isn’t a cure but comes very close to a solution to live life without too many symptoms.
My husband who has PD has been following results of this treatment. On Health Unlocked under Cure Parkinson’s Trust are many patients round the world who have had this treatment.
The treatment is mainly effective, some patients have had side effects, it is down to zapping the correct part in the brain, by a skilled operative, and that’s putting it lightly!
Hi. I'm Susan and I'm Ian Kings sister. I would just like to tell you how this treatment has made such a profound improvement to Ians life. To not be shaking any more has enabled him to do the things he was most apprehensive about doing. He can go out for a meal and not worry about how he would get the food off the plate and into.his mouth without losing it. To be able to hold a full cup of tea and not worry about spilling it. Most of all he can play golf again and as most people with Parkinsons know, exercise is most important. Last week Ian and his very supportive team mates won a competition at their local golf club. This was fantastic. We were all so pleased for him. The reason I am writing these comments is to encourage anyone considering this treatment to go for it. Hopefully, one day it will be available for everyone on the NHS.
It was such a delight to read your post about the positive impact the treatment has had for Mr King. Congratulations to him for his win at the Golf Club!
Very best wishes to him from the team at the Queen Square Imaging Centre.
My hwp had MRIFUSPTT in Switzerland to help with his Parkinson’s symptoms. They’ve been doing this treatment for quite a few years but unfortunately the Professor has now retired.

How exciting! Perhaps a fundraising effort with high profile donors would bring attention to this marvellous new treatment!
Amazing that you have obtained the video to share with us. Thank you for your continued reporting on the Parkinsons tech front - line.

Perhaps a request to Michael J. Fox might help??
Amazing. How much exactly did it cost please?
Dear Sindy,
The total cost comes to just over £27,000 for self funding patients.
Best wishes
Peter
Approx £35k
This is very exciting Rory. I'm with you, I'm unsure of DBS. Just to have an alternative.
Of course, the Q from us all, how long does the treatment remain effective? Or is estiamted to remain effective?
