I hope you’re going to get Justin Currie on the podcast. His book is amazing and I’m sure there are a lot of people who struggle with the idea of not being able to be independent anymore, the shame of it and how to overcome that and realise one is more than the ability to shave. Keeping an eye out in case you ask him and he says yes. Such a lovely bloke!
Quick question - for those of us that loved the first Sophie book and bought it on Audible any chance that we can get access to the new updated chapter? Would to hear it. Please. 🥰
I am currently writing up an article on Neuroticism. The animal model for this used to be nervous Pointer dogs, who, it turned out, went deaf. I believe neuroticism is due to an unstable inner ear. As Itard noted, sensitivity to noise is often the first sign of incipient deafness, and audiosensitivity is a prominent sing of maladjustment in problem dogs today. I suspect this is to be the case with shy dogs.
Great stuff, Rory. I do enjoy both your posts and the podcast.

I am interviewing Justin at the Wigtown Book Festival on September 26th
Excellent news!

I like the idea of an occasional Zoom, so yes, I'd sign up

The Friday lunchtime zoom(ies!) sound a great plan so, yes please!
I love your idea to offer occasional Friday lunchtime Zooms. I for one will be tuning in (and buying your book on AI in health)
Are you coming to the Cheltenham lit fest?
Awesome news Rory, about both books!
