Thank you Rory, you have helped me make my decision re Twitter. It means old grey cells having to grapple with BlueSky, but new skills are proven to help improve the grey cells. XX

It's really, really easy Jo. And the best part - no algorithm. Just take your time to build your own followers. Start with Rory, for example, and then check who he follows. And so on. See you over there 😁

My challenge for the day 🤔

Thanks Rory. I too left Twitter last week for the same reasons. Look forward to catching up with you, Sophie and the Prof on the other platforms

Thank you Rory, you have summed up everything I've been thinking, I'm focusing more on Bluesky and Instagram as well, and will be following you there for my daily dose of #SophieFromRomania news.

BTW, I hope you don't mind but I share your daily updates to my friends on my Facebook page, many of whom are massive dog lovers and aren't on X/Twitter, Bluesky or Instagram, so you've got many fans of her there xx

Thank you Rory, like you I worry about Musk’s influence on the UK. Twitter is not a good place anymore.

I too left Twitter. Thank you for saying it like it is. We need more people with plenty of followers to do the same.

I left Twitter six months ago. The downside was that I missed my daily dose of Sophie. There was not much else worth being on there for. I dipped my toe into Bluesky last Autumn, and have been thrilled to see Sophie and your family again. Yes, I have my concerns, however, at the moment I am enjoying the platform, long may it continue.

Thank you Rory, I too have moved from Twitter to Bluesky and look forward to being able to see all the Sophie updates. Pleased to see Sociable Dog on there too! Glad to be able to get off Twitter.

I’m joining you and Sophie. There’s very little left on Twitter and the toxic rants from Madman Musk interfering in our politics, while endangering the lives of our politicians, is the final straw.

Time we shut him up and shut him down!

Well said, Rory. I will look out for you on Bluesky.

Like so many. I hope you keep posting about Sophiefromromania on Threads and Instagram. I just can't get on with Bluesky and I wouldn't like to miss out on her adventures.

Sorry you can't get on with BSky - have you tried recently? I found that it improved when I followed lots more people, usually by peeking at who others were following. It's really picked up in the last couple of months.

I have thanks. Just got as 'shouty' as X. Hardly any engagement. I post a photo of my dogs on Threads or Instagram and I least get some likes. Nothing on bluesky, just people wanting to give me their opinions. I am lucky that I have never had a bad experience on X. No politics or disgusting content. Just dogs and photography.

Elon Musk certainly is a polarising character. I think that he is a complete idiot to meddle in politics (both US domestic and international) and he seems to be driving X / Twitter to self-destruct. And yet, he is also a genius of our times, particularly with what he has achieved, and his future goals, with SpaceX. I think that if he is successful in setting us on the path to Mars colonisation it may well prove to be the most significant achievement in all of history. In fact, I have booked a trip to the SpaceX launch site in Boca Chica, Texas later this year to witness for myself the spectacular developments. But I won't be using X to tell anyone about it...

Hi Rory.

Will you really leave or keep returning like Jon Sopel?

How do you feel about Bill Gates interfering in our politics? Or is it just Musk?

Tommy Robinson has rough edges but was the only voice in a hostile wilderness alerting us to the rape gang phenomenon blighting our cities and towns.

Did you ever watch Panodrama? Please do and tell me if you remain comfortable with BBC ethics.

Best wishes

Martin

I’m not a doggy person but I know integrity when I see it. Thank you for the stand you are taking. I still can’t believe this level of threat to our democracy is being normalised by so many who ought to know better.
