Absolutely spot on Rory. Exactly how I feel and I’ve made my living from it for years. There are so many wonderful, thoughtful, super smart people here it’s really sad to see it getting messed up.
Great article. I joined the bird site early in 2008 & although is become a much more toxic place, it’s still a fascinating source of info & news if you’re sensible enough to weed out the rubbish. I’ve also opened a Mastodon account. Whilst it’s gentler, I do find it harder to use. I’m staying primarily in Twitterverse for the moment, but EM seems intent on breaking it.
