Very sorry to read this, Rory: I hope you recover well from your fall. The piece made me think of the (warm and respectful) place that your voice, Mark’s, and Jeremy’s (please forgive the familiarity) has in my mind’s soundscape
Really interesting podcast, what does the speech therapist think about joining a choir? Looks like you are going to be an expert in left hand typing! Hope it gets fixed soon and speedy recovery
Sorry to hear this and hope you get well soon. As an aside (and very apposite for this episode), thanks for the work you and the team have put into sound quality on the podcast. For the first few episodes I would be listening in the car, spinning the volume control on the steering wheel up and down to increase or kill the noise. This never happens now, so thank you!
In Herefordshire the NHS speech and language therapists were trained in the Silverman programme. Our Branch of Parkinson’s UK provides a singing group in Hereford to help with volume and confidence which our members support in good numbers so it presumably is helping or they find is fun… or hopefully both.
Oh Rory I am so sorry you’ve had a fall and can’t currently use your right arm. How incredibly frustrating and, no doubt, you are also in pain and are feeling less confident about moving around. I wish you the fastest possible recovery. Thank you for posting your account of the most recent episode of M&S despite your injury. I do appreciate being able to read the content as well as listen to it. There’s so much warmth, humour and incredibly helpful information there.
Thank you for persevering through one-finger typing to share this information. I have trouble hearing my mom, who suffers Parkinson's, and then you there is my dad with his hearing loss. The dynamic of a simple family conversation can be quite frustrating for all.
Very sorry to hear of your fall and hope that you can make a good recovery from your injuries. Top marks for your determination in getting this piece written and providing a further insight into Parkinson’s. The change in Mark Mardell’s voice in a previous podcast was striking and saddening and I sympathise with his feelings.
Thank you for this, and for the very interesting pod. I'm so sorry to hear about your fall and do hope you heal quickly and feel better very soon. Apart from anything else you must be shocked. All the very best.
Speech Therapists are a very mis and underused resource in the NHS. They mainly deal with swallowing, such a shame. Get better soon xxx

So sorry to hear about the fall. Hope the arm heals quickly.
Hello Rory, sorry to read of your recent accident
I found the podcast very informative particularly as it complements and re enforces my ongoing participation in the exellent local NHS Suffolk course.
