On Friday 30th June at 8pm in the UK Alison Anderson from Cure Parkinson’s & Gary Shaughessey from Parkinson’s UK will speak to the Mayor of Medway via zoom. The Mayor of Medway will be at a pre World Parkinson’s Congress event in Rochester with WPC attendees and others, including Professor David Wilkinson from the NEW Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy, Jon Stamford a long-standing supporter of Cure Parkinson’s and members of the Parkinson’s UK: Medway Working Age Group.

A green transport option need not just be cycling - it may cost more but the research would be fascinating and help save the planet eg Eurostar

This is so good to read. I am an exercise teacher specialising in Neuro conditions and most have PD. Many of those with PD get depressed because they can’t do the hard strenuous stuff and they’re told that’s the only type of exercise that will help but it’s not true. Mobility and flexibility exercises are vital not only for their physical symptoms but for their mental and emotional health too.
